The United Theatre and Literacy Volunteers of Washington County is delighted to invite you for StoryCorps: A Conversation with Dave Isay at the United Theatre in Westerly, RI on July 26, 2024.

StoryCorps has been devoted to collecting and preserving American stories for over twenty years, reaching 11 million listeners on NPR’s “Morning Edition” every week. These recordings are collected in the U.S. Library of Congress and StoryCorps’ digital archive, which is now the largest single collection of human voices ever gathered.

Dave Isay, founder of StoryCorps, has won six Peabody Awards, a MacArthur “Genius” Fellowship, and the 2015 TED Prize for his work. Listen to Dave share his story, and stories from StoryCorps archives that will move and inspire you. Be prepared to laugh, to cry, to wonder – and to celebrate our shared humanity.
